The Method

Attention is the intervention.

The SOC method (Signal, Orientation, Calibration), introduced in The Fog Between Decisions by Luiza Scurtu, underpins the work of Life Laboratory.

SOC — Signal Orientation Calibration

SOC is the diagnostic architecture behind Life Laboratory. When decision environments accelerate, signal blurs into noise, optimisation outruns meaning, and leadership gradually loses orientation without obvious failure.

Signal Orientation Calibration restores accurate orientation before distortion compounds. The Decision Clarity Audit applies SOC inside real organisational decision flows.

SOC is not coaching. It is not strategy advice. It is the disciplined interruption of misread signals before decisions scale.

Three Steps

  1. Observe — Surface what is actually happening in the decision environment, separate from what is assumed or reported.
  2. Name — Identify the specific friction: misaligned authority, responsibility drift, signal overload, or execution fog.
  3. Build — Restore orientation with a defined structure so decisions can proceed from accurate ground.
