Privacy Policy
Who Is Responsible
Life Laboratory is responsible for deciding how information submitted through this website is used. For questions about this policy or your data, contact: office@lifelaboratory.co.uk
Information Collected
When you submit the Contact form, Life Laboratory receives: name, email address, phone number (optional), organisation and role, enquiry description, required privacy acknowledgement, and optional marketing preference.
If you accept analytics, Google Analytics collects limited, anonymised information about your visit — pages viewed, approximate location (country level), and device type. No personally identifiable analytics data is collected.
The website hosting infrastructure may retain limited technical request and security logs as part of normal server operation. Your cookie preference is stored in your browser's local storage under the key ll_consent.
Purposes
Information is used to: respond to enquiries; assess whether a Decision Clarity Audit appears suitable; arrange an initial conversation where appropriate; administer any resulting engagement; maintain website security and reliability; send occasional updates where separate marketing permission has been given; understand aggregate website use where analytics has been accepted.
Lawful Bases
Legitimate interests — for responding to voluntarily initiated business enquiries and maintaining website security.
Steps requested before entering a contract — where an enquiry progresses toward a formal engagement.
Consent — for optional marketing communications and for optional analytics.
Service Providers
Life Laboratory uses service providers who may process personal information on its behalf: Replit (website hosting); FormSubmit (processes Contact form submissions and delivers them by email); Life Laboratory's email inbox provider; and Google Analytics (only after analytics consent is accepted).
International Processing
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Life Laboratory does not independently verify the specific countries or transfer mechanisms used by each provider.
Retention
Enquiries that do not become engagements: up to 12 months. These defaults are subject to review.
Sensitive Information
Please do not submit confidential, legally privileged, security-sensitive or special-category personal information through the public Contact form.
Your Rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to: access the data held about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion; request restriction of processing; object to processing based on legitimate interests; request portability; withdraw consent; and lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office.
To exercise any of these rights, contact: office@lifelaboratory.co.uk
